10 Reasons to Make Time For Relaxation

A very good, bright, and sunny Friday morning to you. Today, we are touching just a bit on why you should make time to relax. Life can be stressful. That is a fact. Everything else, will require a very healthy you. So while you may have a thousand and one things to do this weekend, we do too, here are 10 sound reasons to make time for relaxation.

We have been doing this for a while and still do. One way we relax is by arriving in Galveston early morning by between 6:30-7 am on a weekday. There's usually only a few people out there at that time, so it's really amazing. If you did not get a chance to Zen out during the week, whatever you do this weekend, carve out of bit of me time to relax. You can do so by finding something to watch that make you laugh to the point of tears, or, you can find your Zen space and just be. Do nothing at all. Your body will love you for it. Here are a few other relaxing techniques you can try:
Do some deep breathing for about 5-10 minutes a few times throughout the day
Get a 30-60 minutes' massage at your favorite spa
Yoga - lots of local classes. You also do not have to leave your home for this one.
Walking - walking extend lifespan, supports weight management, lower blood sugar, strengthens joints and bones, reduces risk of dementia, strengthens immunity, reduces inflammation, improve sleep, enhance your mood, reduce stress, lower risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes. The benefits of walking is a long one.
Hydrotherapy -This can be as simple as taking a long relaxing bath with a bit of epsom salt.
I know life does not stop because we do, but still, taking time to relax, if not daily, doing so on the weekend is one way to ensure a healthy life while keeping calm when everyone else around you is anything but. Don’t forget to turn off all light that are not being used and recycle.
