With 14 acres of landscaped gardens and natural woodlands, Bayou Bend is Texas’ largest all organic public garden.
No Pesticides are used in the gardens.
All soil preparations and treatments are organic.
A garlic spray is used for mosquitoes.
Bayou Bend consist of 8 gardens - Clio Garden - Woodland Trails - Diana Garden - Euterpe Garden - Carla Garden - East Garden - Butterfly Garden and the White Garden. The formal gardens consist of the rare Duchess De Caze Pink Camellias, along with azaleas, gardenias and antique roses.
